Havertown, PA – January 10, 2012. After resounding success from the inaugural festival, the second annual Haverford Music Festival announces its date and location for 2012: Saturday, September 15th from noon to 8:00 pm in the Oakmont business section of Havertown.
“For the inaugural 2011 Haverford Music Festival, we created the model for a successful community-based music festival,” explains Tom Kelly, Haverford Music Festival’s Director. “We had 35 bands playing on two stages, which allowed us to offer continuous music for over 8 hours. Forty vendors lined Darby Road and Hathaway Lane, and our sponsors provided the funds to run a first-class festival that was thoroughly enjoyed by the 7,000 attendees. Our 100+ volunteers helped to keep the fun going all day and made sure everything ran smoothly.”
“Now that we have established the Haverford Music Festival as a key event in the cultural landscape of the township, we’re already busy planning for the 2012 Haverford Music Festival,” adds Kelly. “We’ll be bigger and better next September. About the Haverford Music Festival
The 2012 Haverford Music Festival, an all day, family-oriented event, presents continuous live music with free admission to all venues from noon to 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 15, 2012 in the Oakmont business area of Havertown. Food, beverages, and information are provided by festival vendors/sponsors. As the festival organizer, the Haverford Township Civic Council benefits from festival proceeds and uses those proceeds to fund community-based programs within Haverford Township.
