The Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars continue a long standing tradition by featuring many of the region’s most talented teens and young adults! This high-energy performance group takes the magic of Upper Darby Summer Stage out into the community by singing and dancing at various venues throughout the year.
With thirty-six auditioned performers, the group is in high demand performing regionally and throughout the United States. The Shooting Stars have performed at Longwood Gardens (including the Longwood Gardens Christmas Special on NBC 10), the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., and at Walt Disney World!
The group engages audiences with its dynamic dance and song program including rock, jazz, swing, and Broadway numbers such as “Dancing in the Streets,” “Footloose,” “Steal Your Rock ‘n Roll” (from the Broadway show “Memphis”), a Billy Joel medley and many more energetic production numbers.
