Getting to the Haverford Music Festival
Last year, more that 15,000 music lovers came to Haverford Township for the music festival, according to police estimates. That’s a lot people and a lot of cars.
Folks who are planning to come to the festival on September 9, 2017, might consider public transportation or riding a bike to Darby and Eagle roads where the music festival will take place.
Cyclists can take advantage of valet bicycle parking on East Darby Road behind the Stage provided free by Friends of Haverford Trails, though contributions to the Friends mission is welcome. Bike owners can opt to park and lock their bicycles themselves along the fence on Hathaway Lane near the field stage.

Public transportation is another convenient option. Please note that Septa has a new fare policy on September 1, 2014 – check here. The Route 100/ Norristown High Speed Line runs from 69th Street in Upper Darby to Norristown. Festival goers should get off at the Wynnewood Station and walk .67 miles up the hill to Eagle Road – a simple no hassle way to come and enjoy the music. SEPTA’s 103 bus will also be running. Check the Saturday schedule for both options on line at SEPTA.org or (215) 580-7800.
If driving is the only option, please remember to observe proper street-parking etiquette. Do not block driveways and do not park near to street corners even if there is no sign posted. If caught in a traffic back up, festival organizers ask everyone to please be patient.
