SaveHaverford Music Festival Stage Renamed in Honor of Barry Gutman

Gutman, who passed away during the summer of 2024, was instrumental in expanding the Music Festival’s reach during his time as press officer.

Barry Gutman Oakmont Stage

Haverford Music Festival is proud to announce that the Festival is renaming its Oakmont Field stage the Barry Gutman Field Stage in honor of Music Festival board member, press officer, and friend Barry Gutman, who passed away during the summer of 2024.

For nearly a decade, Barry was a lively and highly visible part of the annual Haverford Music Festival, introducing many of the bands that appeared on the Festival’s two stages. Thanks to his tireless work over the past decade, the Festival grew substantially in size and reputation during Barry’s time as a board member, going from being known as a local music event to a highly regarded boutique music festival that has featured nationally and internationally known artists. It is currently the largest music festival in Delaware County and on the Main Line. He was also a founding member of the Haverford Township Education, Arts & Music Society (HTEAMS), the nonprofit organization that took on organizing duties for the Festival as it continued to grow.

Barry brought a vast knowledge of music to his work as press officer, and his musical acumen, writing ability, and enthusiasm are greatly missed by all.
