Havertown, PA – June 6, 2011. The Haverford Music Festival, which runs from noon to 10:00 pm on September 17th, 2011 in the Oakmont business area of Havertown, is looking to fill its stages with the best of local talent. The goal is for 40-50 acts to perform on the festival’s two stages.

Emmanuel Del Pizzo, trumpet player in the popular local band Del’s Groove, organizes talent for the festival. “By word of mouth and social media, we’ve been in touch with a great deal of performers. Acts I’m familiar with have applied directly to me, but for everyone else, they can apply through our website. The different musical genres represented so far are varied, which is good because the festival is a family event. We’ll have something for all ages and all tastes,” says Del Pizzo.

Not only does a performer get to play in front of 7, 000, but each applicant, whether accepted for the festival or not, gets their music played on www.iradiophilly.com. “Sure, playing in front of 7,000 is great exposure, but even if your band is not playing, it’s getting exposure on iradiophilly.com,” says Del Pizzo. All music samples sent in with the performer application receive air time on www.iradiophilly.com.

“We’ll have two stages at the festival, and to keep the music flowing, we’re using pre-set microphones, amps, and drums so we don’t have to run a sound check after each act. That keeps the production moving along, which means continuous music. If you want to play, go to the website and apply today,” encourages Del Pizzo.” Who knows, maybe an agent will discover you on www.iradiophilly.com or during the festival.”
