(Indie Rock/Alternative Rock) Snarling pop rock, somber sing-alongs and roiling guitar solos make up the Spelling Reform oeuvre, much the same as the band’s main influences ā Wilco, The New Pornographers and Pixies. The four-piece Philadelphia indie rock/alternative rock group released its debut EP in summer 2015 and has garnered praise from The Philadelphia Inquirer, WXPN’s The Key, Y-Not Radio and more. The group’s debut full-length, recorded with Joe Reinhart from Hop Along, is set for release in summer 2016.
We’re finishing up recording our debut LP right now, so we’ve been busy in the studio. In the past, we’ve played at Philadelphia-area venues like Johnny Brenda’s, World Cafe Live and Boot & Saddle as well as at the Phoenixville Firebird Festival in December 2015.
